RIP Kevin Duckworth

I've always remembered the Trailblazers teams from my youth with great fondness. I was very sad to read this morning about the passing of Kevin Duckworth at the young age of 44. For many people my age, he and the Blazers were one of the teams that made the league exciting to watch and roped us in early in life.

I always thought that was the best core of players that was denied titles by the Pistons/Bulls combo throughout the late 80's early 90's era. Terry Porter, Clyde Drexler, Jerome Kersey, Cliff Robinson and Duckworth were so great together.

Cliff Robinson- UCONN guy

I agree. The Suns that would later be denied by the Bulls were also great (Barkley, KJ, Thunder Dan, Cebbalos). But, they were different. Barkley was more or less brought in specifically to go after a title. The Blazers core were a much more permanent fixture.
