im floored, really. i shouldn't be but i am. i thought manny more likely to test positive for the hiv than for sterroids. he just never seemed like he cared enough to do it, but obviously he cares about money so i should have known.

yeah i must admit i've always had him listed in my clean category but it seems i have been a victim to my own personal biases. towards the end of his tenor with the sox i was ready to move on but that doesn't change the fact that we all got to enjoy one of the best right handed hitters of all-time play night after night(sometimes), year after year hitting the shit out of the ball while sox nation basked in his glorious output and enjoyed it's most successful period of the modern era. Which brings me to the real problem. For pretty much the entire time steroid scandals have been hitting the major leagues, the red sox have managed to avoid having any big named guys bagged. Even though this test took place while manny is playing for the dodgers his years in boston are bound to be called into question. i have many thoughts on this subject and could wax verbally much better than write so i will leave it here but i just have to say the whole time i've been writing this "American Pie" by don mcclean has been stuck in my head and it seems fairly appropriate.
