The Babcock Report: 48 Minutes

It would be hard to accurately describe my level of excitement right now as I count down the minutes until the opening tip of Game 6, so I'm not going to try. I've tried to think about what it will take for the Celtics to win this game and I can best illustrate my thoughts using the following pictures:

1) Paul Pierce needs to become the physical manifestation of a sick Slash solo on the basketball court tonight. That is to say that he must be consistently aggressive, surprisingly smooth, and explosive. He can probably do without the cigarette and tophat though.

2) If we can keep the ball out of Kobe's hands until there is 12 seconds or less on the shotclock than there is a great chance that we will see Twelve Feet Or Further (TFOF) in full effect tonight. Inevitably he will end up singing the blues...

...to his wife, who will always resent him and force him to endure uncomfortable, tension filled car rides in an automobile worth more than all of the things I will ever own.

3A) Sasha Vujacic (Below, with some skank) and the "supporting" cast of the Lakers are nothing but front runners...as soon as things go wrong they stand around like 14 year old boys at a high school dance when "I'll Make Love To You" by Boys to Men comes on. Only they can't slip into the bathroom unnoticed. Then, prior to any commercial break they are shown running their fingers through their hair in slow motion and making some sort of strange face. Seriously they have shown at least 148 slow motion Pau Gasol closeups since this series began.

3B) FACT: In the entire history of the Boston Celtics franchise not one single Celtics player has been photographed with Paris Hilton...it has been rumored that Marty Conlon and Travis Knight doubleteamed her in Cabo San Lucas in the fall of 2006, however it was never documented on film and neither player had any affiliation with the organization at the time.

4) Finally: Get 15+ effective minutes from both Rondo and Perkins respectively and its all good. Bring home #17.
